Rope Bowls – cost $10
Bonnie will be supplying the rope. Here are the supplies you need to bring:
Strips of fabric cut into 3/4″ or 1/2″ strips. Use a jelly roll or your choice (can be scrappy!)
FYI – Batiks tend to fray less than regular cottons. Keep strips about 22″ long.
Please have your strips cut for the meeting.
Sewing Machine with a zig-zag stitch
Denim needle for your machine
A Glue Stick ( I will have extra if needed)
Binding clips/ or straight pins
Thread – to match or contrast with your fabric, or cream to match the rope
We’ll get you started wrapping your clothesline with your fabric and demonstrate how to
sew the bowl together. In the meantime you can check out YouTube for videos on Fabric
bowls. Pinterest also has lots of info.
